Mark Medley

Experience from working in many of Washington's finest restaurants has given Mark a desire to create this breath of fresh air in the neighborhood bistro genre.  "It's nice to be able to go to a comfortable place and eat food which surpasses expectations." 

Mark Medley, a long time staff member at Pesce and Vidalia operates the dining room.  He has always had a knack for great service and his knowledge about wine is amazing.  Many of you may already know him, he's been around the Dupont Circle neighborhood for many years and is always saying hello to people on the street.
      

Orlando Hitzig

Orlando Hitzig, the chef, was the chef at Blue Point Grill in Alexandria for two years and executive Sous Chef at 701 restaurant for six.  He has one simple philosophy, food needs to taste good.  Believing that there are already plenty of flavors in food, and it just needs to be brought forward means that there would not be an over-emphasis on crusting or covering up food with heavy sauces. Orlando creates menu items with  a clean and soulful flair. The food satisfies beyond expectations, and does so without any hint of pretense.
